The Serpent gnaws the roots, the Stags browse the branches, and at the top, a Hawk sits between the eyes of an Eagle.. The Squirrel makes mischief along the tree. All three pieces link one atop the other, to form the Yggdrasil, the World Tree.

And because I live in New Orleans, the Great Tree might look a bit like a live oak.
