During a raucous performance by the Bindlestiff Family Circus, I noticed a knot of people clustered about something on the floor. As the crowd was hustled out by Scotty the Blue Bunny, I Iearned that an audience member had stabbed another during the fire eating act..

The man responsible, while caught, was never convicted. In a roomful of people, there was not a single witness.
It was just another part of the show for them.
